Become a Consignor

Check to see if there is a sale coming to your area.  Email a local agent to indicate your interest in consigning items for the next event.  Our goal is to find a new home for your belongings and help you generate funds to purchase something you really want.

What we are Looking for:

  • Furniture
  • Antiques
  • Mirrors
  • Paintings
  • Lighting
  • Rugs
  • Interior Design Accessories
  • Designer and Vintage Clothing
  • Handbags
  • Belts
  • Shoes
  • Accessories

** All personal items must be new with tags or barely used.

The Process

Email us to let us know you are interested in consigning items at our next event.

Please provide digital images of the items, you are interested in consigning.  We use the photos to help us categorize and plan the layout of the event space, as well as for our PR efforts to promote the sale.

We will provide you with ID Tags, Registration and Intake Forms, and a list for delivery companies.  You must attach your ID tags to all items in the sale and you must list every item on your Intake Forms.  There is a one time only, registration fee of $25.00

The Sale

YOU are responsible for getting your items to the event location during the scheduled drop-off dates.

At the time of drop-off, you will submit your tagged items along with the Intake Forms listing everything you're leaving in our care.  We cannot accept any items that are not listed on your Intake Forms, nor can we accept items not tagged with your ID number.

You do not have to attend the sale or stay with your items at the sale – we will take care of that for you.

Our model is based on a classic 60/40 consignment split.  As a consignor, you will receive 60% of the proceeds from your sold items.  Leftover Luxuries will keep 40% to help cover the cost of the event, staff, admin, PR efforts and our profit share.

Checks will be cut and mailed 15 - 20 business days after the sale period ends.  This starts after the post sale pick-up dates.

**If any of your items are not in the type of condition we accept - we will ask you to come pick them up.

Post Sale

YOU will be responsible for picking up any unsold items during the scheduled pick-up dates.  Any unclaimed items will become the property of Leftover Luxuries and likely donated to a local charity.

How to Price Your Items

All consignors come up with their own pricing.  Leftover Luxuries will help guide pricing if necessary – if we feel you could sell it for more, we will tell you.  If we feel you have out-priced your item, we will suggest lowering the price.  But, ultimately, you will determine the price of your own items.  For high-value items, we strongly suggest you seek an outside appraisal and include the information on the description section of your item ID Tag.

The great thing about our sale is that you may have several items you want to get rid of no matter what and you can price those items accordingly.  Alternately, you may also have some items that you will only sell at a certain price – if it sells, great, if not, you are more than happy to hang on to it.  A win-win situation.

How to Tag Your Items

Your local agent will provide you with a consignor ID number and ID tags to attach to all of your items that are approved for the sale.  At the point-of-sale, these tags will identify you as the item owner and beneficiary of the sale proceeds.  On the back side of the tags, please list your price and a brief item description (ex. Missoni Dress, Size 6, Never Worn).  Buyers like to be informed, so please be diligent in adding product descriptions and history as you deem fit.  If you run out of tags, just ask your agent for more.  If you have extra tags leftover, please hang on to them for use in a future sale.  Your consignor ID number will always remain the same.

How to Classify Your Items

Prior to dropping off your items for the sale, you will be required to fill out our Intake Forms.  These forms serve as your contract for the items we try to sell.  The Intake Forms break items down into three different categories:  Furniture, Clothing and Boxed Items.  If your item is not a piece of furniture or an article on a hanger, it will fall into the category of Boxed Items.  Lighting, rugs, mirrors, handbags and shoes are all examples of Boxed Items.  Feel free to contact your local agent if  you have questions about filling out your Intake Forms and classifying your items.
